The form above can be used to collect rsmpls "random samples" from all of the residents of Ashland, Bayfield, or Ashland & Bayfield counties in 1990. This database consists of three variables -- Race; Sex; and Age (full years attained). The information on these populations came from the 1990 U.S. Census. A summary of the population is here.
To collect the samples choose a county, choose a sample size (n), choose the number of samples to take (rsmpls), and press the SAMPLE button. The summaries (mean age, proportion male, and proportion white) for each sample of n individuals will be shown in the output box. You can highlight the data you want, copy it (CTRL-C), and paste it into another program. The data are space-delimited. Because this is not a research grade simulation, I have limited n to 200 and rsmpls to 5000. You must be PATIENT if you choose an n > 75 or a rsmpls > 500.
