Research opportunities for undergraduates interested in fisheries are available at Northland College. These opportunities allow a student to work closely with a professor or personnel from a local resource agency and to develop research skills in preparation for graduate school or future employment. Finished projects may result in publication in professional journals or an agency completion report. Examples of research projects completed by Northland undergraduates are listed below. If you are interested in conducting independent fisheries-related research then please contact Derek Ogle or any other professor during your Sophomore or Junior year at Northland.
