Project: Monet exhibition T-shirt
The Museum was hosting a show of early Monet paintings. His paintings of the time were very monochromatic and the shirt needed to be more exciting. The solution was to give the painting a less prominent role in a collage style design featuring the text from a letter Monet wrote at the time. The irony of his own words juxtaposed with our hindsight of how important his work is, made for a very interesting and educational design that sold hundreds of shirts. I created the typeface used for the text using Monet's signature as a guide.
